Updated: 1:37 p.m. on Tuesday Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell replied to news that Jameson Williams will face a two-game ban.

“I can’t really say anything about it till the league gives judgment and it comes out on their end, I’m not supposed to really comment on it,” Campbell told the radio station WXYT. ”

“All I can tell you is that we are prepared to be without him and will be OK. That’s why we have Leaf (Kalif Raymond), (Amon-Ra) St. Brown, (Sam) LaPorta, TP (Tim Patrick), and Allen Robinson, among others, along with David Montgomery and (Jahmyr) Gibbs, so we’ll be good,” stated Campbell. “We will go on. We’ll be fine when this monstrosity comes down, if it ever does.

Wide receiver Jameson Williams, who is proving to be a valuable asset for the Detroit Lions, is facing a two-game suspension for breaking the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances rules, according to ESPN, citing unnamed sources.

This is not his first suspension.

Last year, he was suspended for six games to begin the 2023 season for breaching the league’s gambling rules. He placed wagers on sports at the Lions’ facility but not on the NFL. The suspension was eventually reduced to four games.

If it goes into force this week, Williams, 23, will miss Sunday’s home game against the 1-5 Tennessee Titans. He would also miss the next Sunday’s game against the very competitive Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
