Tennessee received a major commitment late Wednesday afternoon, signing four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell. Following the departure of head coach Mack Brown last week, the North Carolina product chose Tennessee over his home-state Tar Heels.
Campbell was a former Clemson commit who decommitted in September. Tennessee appeared to be the team to beat from there, and they sealed the deal here today. Campbell has already signed, officially making him a Vol.
Campbell is a top 50 player in the 2025 cycle, with a strong four-star rating. According to 247Sports, Campbell is the 33rd-ranked player in the country. He is the second-ranked player in the state of North Carolina.
The 6-4, 275-pound defender made 110 tackles as a junior, 27 of which were for a loss. Campbell recorded a remarkable 16 sacks that season. He will now work alongside experienced defensive line coach Rodney Garner, who has drastically changed Tennessee’s front seven since his arrival four years ago.
Campbell joins four-star Marion Dye, four-star Ethan Utley, and three-star Charles House on Tennessee’s 2025 defensive line. He is Tennessee’s 23rd signing today, giving the Volunteers the 11th-ranked class in the country thus far, according to 247Sports.
