West Ham pays $1 million to former Tigers owners in the Jarrod Bowen verdict case

Jarrod Bowen’s influence has been lauded by Australian international Jackson Irvine since he left Hull City for the Premier League in January 2020.

At the MKM Stadium, Bowen and Irvine played together for three years. And according to Irvine, who currently plays for St Pauli in the German Bundesliga, Bowen’s talent was always apparent at City.

In a 1-0 friendly victory over Australia, West Ham’s winger Bowen faced off against Irvine at Wembley on Friday. As part of the £20 million transfer that brought Bowen to East London, the Hammers are now required to pay the Tigers’ former owners £1 million.

With Bowen and (Ollie) Watkins, who have both had strong starts to the Premier League season, many of the players on the team that played against us on Friday night are in the best shape of their professional careers. This speaks particularly to the form of those individual players.

“For Jarrod, I know he just signed a new contract, and for him, it’s an incredible time to be a part of the England setup and where he is with his club,” the speaker said.
