Spotrac.com estimates that his market value is $22.1 million a year. Allen is entering the final year of his contract, with a basic salary of $12.7 million and a cap hit of $19.79 million. Allen had a great year last season, appearing in 16 regular-season games and recording 61 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 40 quarterback hits. If Allen does not get the deal he wants, he will become a free agency following the 2017 season.
