Agreement Reached: Tottenham set to sign 6ft 4inch centre-back after positive talks with agent and Club Representatives

According to the source, Adarabioyo was a center-back who stood 6 feet 4 inches tall. In the summer, Spurs and AS Monaco were vying for his signature.

After having their initial approach of around £6 million (€7 million) plus add-ons rejected by Fulham, the Ligue 1 team had an offer around £9 million (€10 million) rejected by the London-based club.

In the closing days of the transfer window, Tottenham was also expressing a strong interest in acquiring the 25-year-old defender as Ange Postecoglou sought to replace Davinson Sanchez, who joined Galatasaray.

Adarabioyo was forced to train separately from the first team and was forced to leave the Fulham squad as it appeared more probable that he would leave Craven.

However, the transfer fell through, and Adarabioyo chose to remain at Fulham. He has, however, reportedly burned his bridges with the Cottagers and is unlikely to muscle his way back into Marco Silva’s plans, according to Football Insider.

With only one year remaining on the Englishman’s current contract, the door has reportedly opened for Tottenham to reach a deal at a discount in January as Fulham looks to make a profit.

Adarabioyo has yet to make a start this season and has only played as a substitute once in the Premier League after being completely omitted from the team for their first two games.

Last season, he made 29 appearances and scored once in all competitions. Adarabioyo has played in 107 games since relocating to Craven Cottage, contributing to five goals in all competitions.

reinforcement for the defense
Davinson Sanchez’s six-year tenure at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium has come to an end when Tottenham sold him to Galatasaray. The 27-year-old’s departure has left a void in Postecoglou’s squad, and despite the signings of centre-backs Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips this summer, a fresh addition in January is anticipated.

Since Postecoglou, the former Celtic manager, thought Sanchez was unnecessary, he has not started a Premier League game this season.

A new center-back is needed because Eric Dier is also anticipated to leave Tottenham over the course of the next year, and Football Insider speculates that Tottenham might sign Adarabioyo in January.
