The Green Bay Packers suffered yet another heartbreaking loss on Monday night, falling 24-22 to the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. Despite their lackluster performance on the evening, the Packers still had a chance to win this one.

Except, they didn’t.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur spoke to reporters, and he was not in a good mood. He wasn’t shy about criticizing his team’s performance in what turned out to be yet another close loss:
“You can look and nitpick each phase of the game,” LaFleur said, according to Mike Spofford of the team’s website. “Special teams were insufficient. Offense was insufficient. Defense was insufficient. All three together, and that’s what happens when you’re bad in all three phases. “You’ve lost the game.”
LaFleur hit the nail on the head with this one. Simply put, the Packers were not good enough on the night. The Giants weren’t great either, but they did enough to win in the end.
Green Bay will need to be much better than this if they want to compete for a playoff spot. On Sunday, they will play at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It goes without saying that the next few games will be crucial.
