When Rade Krunic is not available, Carlo Pellegatti predicts that Stefano Pioli won’t field either Yacine Adli or Yunus Musah.
The topic of substituting for Krunic has been extensively addressed, especially since the summer transfer window closed without the signing of a natural defensive midfielder.
Instead, the team consists primarily of box-to-box players such Adli, Musah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tijjani Reijnders, and Tommaso Pobega, albeit the former was utilized as Krunic’s backup in the preseason.
The journalist Carlo Pellegatti discussed the status of the midfield in an interview with Radio Rossonera, and he expressed his opinion that neither Adli nor Musah, who have both played as a No. 6 for the USA, will replace Krunic.
He added, “Our idol Pioli would have claimed that Reijnders is Krunic’s replacement. I didn’t realize he played in that position.
“Perhaps he’ll change his mind. It involves more than just a role. Reijnders might follow Pioli’s orders more closely from the center than Musah. We must check.
