GOOD NEWS: Miami Hurricanes have won the bidding war to land top talented Offensive Line in an idea replacement for Matt Lee.

The Miami Hurricanes are once again benefiting from the Transfer Portal. Zach Carpenter, a former center for the Indiana Hoosiers, will be traveling to Coral Gables this time.

Carpenter would have a 64.3% blocking grade in 2023, according to Pro Football Focus. Just the 2023 season’s 803 snaps demonstrate his tenacity and lunch-pail style of play. Carpenter has 1,895 total snaps in his career. That’s the kind of experience that’s highly sought after at one of the hardest positions in football.

Indiana transfer C Zach Carpenter commits to Miami

Prior to transferring and playing for the Hoosiers for the following three seasons, he played his first season as a Michigan Wolverine in 2020.
Gaining a fifth-year senior to handle the pivot is a major addition for Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal and the Miami football program in general, as the Hurricanes are losing center Matt Lee to the NFL.

Carpenter is a native of Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller, standing at 6 feet 5 inches and 295 pounds.
