JUST IN: LOUISVILLE head coach Jeff Brohm made a surprised and emergency QBs change as he sent message on cardinals roster change

On Wednesday, Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm welcomed another outstanding weapon to the Cardinals’ quarterback room.

Brohm and his staff signed Austin, Texas, Vandegrift High School outstanding signal-caller Deuce Adams on the first day of the early signing period, just two weeks after receiving a pledge from Texas Tech transfer quarterback Tyler Shrough.

Adams, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 170-pounds, was one of 14 high school signees in the Class of 2024. He is anticipated to enroll in classes this summer and will come in June to begin working out with the football team. Adams had been committed to the University of Louisiana since early April.
Brohm stated that he is “excited” about Adams’ addition.

“I think this will be a great addition to our team,” said Brohm of Adams. “He’s an athletic quarterback who can throw the ball, he’s had a lot of experience, and he works really hard…” We need to get him here and just keep developing him to get him the correct weight, size, strength, and build to his body so he can endure impacts and be durable throughout the season. But I believe he’s a strong worker, and we hope to have him here as soon as possible.”I believe he will compete and join the others right away. And, you know, we’ll see how he does. But from what we’ve seen of him, we’re impressed.”

Adams passed for 3,007 yards, 34 touchdowns, and six interceptions as a junior, completing 216 of 323 attempts (66.9% completion rate).
Adams already had over a dozen scholarship offers, but they increased late in his junior year. He was offered by the University of Louisiana personnel in February and then paid an official visit to the school in June. Brian Brohm, the University of Louisiana’s offensive coordinator, traveled to Austin to observe him throw.

Adams signed with the Cardinals around two weeks after his visit.

“I love the city,” he declared. “I can’t wait to be there.”
