GOOD NEWS: Browns Head Coach Issue an exciting update on QB Deshaun Watson’s Returned.

Deshaun Watson’s season came to an end just as it was getting rolling for the Cleveland Browns quarterback, due to concerns with his right shoulder. The end outcome was surgery, followed by a new home on IR.

Watson is currently in therapy, and all indications are that his recuperation is proceeding well at a Los Angeles rehab facility.

Watson returned to Cleveland on Christmas Eve Eve to organize a Christmas celebration for children at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown. Approximately 300 children participated in events, and a variety of groups were invited to celebrate the holidays with festive activities, stations, and food sampling. According to the Deshaun Watson Foundation, this was the first annual holiday event titled “Christmas Around the World.”

The entire convention center was changed into a winter wonderland-themed venue, complete with food and traditions from Italy, Greece, China, and Jamaica, to mention a few countries.

Children were chosen from local youth football groups and churches. There was a live DJ on hand, as well as video games and basketball. There was also face painting and Santa Claus made his visit. Every child was given a Christmas gift bag.

Watson stated to News 5 Cleveland:

“I mean, it’s incredible. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to simply give back to all of the kids I met earlier this year through football or a church, through youth football league, and then through a church service that I attended back at Shallow earlier this year. But the ability to develop relationships, spread throughout the community, and just give back. This is a fantastic opportunity. When I was a kid, I was in their shoes.”

Watson has maintained constant communication with the Browns during his rehabilitation. He stated:

“It’s always difficult to be away from your teammates and the game of football.” You put in so much effort to be a part of it. At the same time, injuries occur, and you must be prepared to deal with the consequences. But I’m there for them, and they need to keep going because they’re on fire right now.”

Watson is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to the Browns. For the time being, he claimed that he follows the doctors’ orders: “It’s all in the doctor’s hands.” I’ll be out of there as soon as they tell me I can remove the sling. Until then, I’ll simply observe all of the regulations and precautions they impose on me.”

Cleveland has gone 3-2-0 with 38-year-old Joe Flacco, a former Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP, since Watson was placed on injured reserve. The Browns currently have a high seed and should be a playoff team.
