For the first time in memory, it appears that everyone is supporting the Cleveland Browns.
And how were they not able to?
With quarterback Joe Flacco leading the way, the Browns have triumphed over adversity time and time again, winning games they were expected to lose and creating the league’s ultimate feel-good narrative.
To get the squad to this point undoubtedly required a great deal of teamwork and a great deal of hard work.
For this reason, the Browns’ social media account launched a fierce attack on the league following a few highly prominent snubs of the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.
The Browns took issue with the exclusion of linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, kicker Dustin Hopkins, and defensive backs Greg Newsome II and Grant Delpit, all of whom were among the best at their positions from beginning to end.
Still, at this point, this shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.
It’s no secret that for a long time, the Pro Bowl has been a popularity contest.
We would not want our guys to take the risk that pass rusher Myles Garrett did in the most recent Pro Bowl.
Furthermore, while it is undoubtedly an enormous honor to be selected for the Pro Bowl, nobody genuinely wants to play in the game—everyone wants to play in the Super Bowl.
Hopefully, the Browns players who did make the cut won’t be able to enjoy the festivities either, since their attention will be directed toward taking home a more substantial and substantial prize.
