SHOCKING NEWS: Miami football signed a blockbuster deal with Dolphins legend’s son

Isaiah Taylor, a safety, was just added by Miami Football through the transfer link as they prepared for the 2024 campaign. On Thursday, Taylor made his transfer to Miami public on social media. He played three seasons as a starting point guard for the Arizona Wildcats.

Jason Taylor, an NFL Hall of Fame defensive end, is his father. The oldest Taylor is most recognized for his time spent coaching defensive ends for Miami football, a role he assumed the previous season.

Jason Taylor will be on the same team as his son on multiple occasions. He coached the defensive line for Isaiah’s high school squad at St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida before moving on to become the defensive coordinator. Taylor’s final year on the team resulted in a state championship.

Taylor made 24 appearances for Arizona in all. Against Arizona State, he totaled 56 tackles, three pass deflections, and one interception.

Thanks in part to Taylor’s coaching, Miami football showcased one of the fiercest defenses during the season. The Hurricanes went 5-1 against opponents who scored 20 points or less, finishing 24th in the league in total defense.
Gaining Isaiah Taylor’s commitment is crucial for Miami because the team lost safety Kamren Kinchens and James Williams. Taylor will be able to help the Hurricanes secondary stay in shape while competing for a starting position.

It’s great to see Isaiah and Jason Taylor together on the same squad, even though Isaiah won’t have his father coaching him personally. For the time being, the youngest Taylor may enjoy his college experience with his family by his side; it remains to be seen if he will follow in his dad’s NFL footsteps.
