Chelsea have confirmed that there is no buy-back clause in the agreement that saw them sell Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan two years ago.
Fabrizio Romano claims in his recent column for CaughtOffside that Chelsea fans have approached him about the possibility of re-signing Tomori after his outstanding performances for Milan in the Champions League.
According to the journalist, his market value has’more than doubled’ since leaving Stamford Bridge for the San Siro, and Milan made a’smart’ move to recruit the Englishman considering the defender that he has become.
Romano adds that Chelsea has ‘no buy-back clause’ and that the 25-year-old is currently 100% committed on the Milan project, as evidenced by the fact that he signed a new contract a few months ago.
As a result, if Chelsea or any other Premier League club wants to recruit Tomori, they will have to make an offer that Milan considers too good to refuse.
