Tottenham will exercise their option to extend Son Heung-min’s contract until June 2026.
Spurs are scared about losing their new captain after accepting a £100 million bid from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane during the summer transfer window. The 30-year-old England international was in the final year of his contract in north London.
Son, 31, is set to enter the final year of his contract next summer, although thanks to a provision, it isn’t believed to be an issue. Tottenham has the option to automatically extend the South Korean international’s contract for another 12 months, which they will do soon.
