DJ Moore, a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, is sincerely appreciative of the Carolina Panthers for helping his new team secure the first overall draft pick for the second year in a row.

In the Bears’ 37-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on New Year’s Eve, Moore once again produced a monster performance, catching nine catches for 159 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets. Moore reached a career-high 1,300 receiving yards on the season, and it was his fifth game with the Bears since he was acquired in an offseason trade.
Reporters questioned Moore about the Panthers’ performance in Week 17, which saw them drop to 2-14 overall, and their ability to secure the Bears’ first-round selection in the 2024 draft. To be honest, his response likely captures the sentiments of a lot of Chicago-area supporters.

According to Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Chicago, Moore stated of the trade that sent him to Chicago in March 2023, “I mean, s***, I feel like I was the No. 1 pick when they traded for me.” That’s all I have to say about that, though, because of Carolina.
