When that day arrives, it will most likely be with a huge group of guys who are not currently on the roster. According to NFL Spin Zone’s Lou Scataglia, one of those positions might be filled by a revolutionary offensive line player selected by the Broncos in the 2025 NFL Draft.
In his most recent 2025 mock draft, Scataglia believes the Broncos will trade down to grab 6-foot-6, 320-pound LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell at No. 13 overall.
“The Denver Broncos trade down from their original slot and manage to land one of the best offensive tackles in the (2025) NFL Draft,” Scataglia stated. “Garett Bolles is set to be a free agent in 2025, and I am not sure they are planning to keep RT Mike McGlinchey around for a ton longer.”

Campbell would be a home run pick for the Broncos, as well as a player who could shield quarterback Bo Nix, the Broncos’ first-round pick in 2024, for the following ten years.
Campbell: Once-in-a-generation Offensive Tackle
Campbell was a five-star prospect out of Monroe Neville (La.) High School and has been the starting offensive lineman at LSU since day one – he has started 26 consecutive games for LSU heading into 2024 and is a two-time All-SEC selection.
247Sports rated Campbell as a high-level NFL prospect out of high school: “Projects to high-major level with long-term potential to reach the early rounds of the NFL Draft.”
According to Blake Brockermeyer of 247Sports, Campbell is the #1 offensive lineman prospect in the 2025 NFL draft. According to Scataglia’s mock draft, Campbell is the first offensive tackle taken, two choices ahead of Georgia offensive tackle Earnest Greene III at No. 15 by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Campbell already has a laundry list of accolades but could add even more as one of the best linemen in the country by 2024,” said USA Today’s Andrew Harbaugh. “I watched the games to see how well Will Campbell handled the country’s premier pass rushers. The games were in Missouri, Alabama, and Florida State, and Darius Robinson, Dallas Turner, and Jared Verse all failed to bring Campbell down. That type of balance is one thing, but he never lost leverage or let them knock him off his feet.”
The Broncos have successfully picked offensive tackles twice in the first round over the last 20 years.
Ryan Clady was picked by Denver as the No. 12 overall pick in 2008 out of Boise State, and he played for the Broncos from 2008 to 2015, collecting four Pro Bowl appearances and three NFL All-Pro honours. Clady also won a Super Bowl with the Broncos following the 2015 season, although he did not play due to a torn ACL.
In 2017, the Broncos took Utah’s Garrett Bolles with the 20th overall pick. Bolles was named NFL All-Pro in 2020 and returned from a season-ending injury in 2022 after five games to start all 17 games for the Broncos in 2023.
