Rondale Moore, an Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, was taken off the field with a right leg injury during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Miami Dolphins.
Athletic trainers applied an air cast to Moore’s leg as both teams rushed to be near the injured player after he collapsed in the left corner of the end zone during 11-on-11 practice. The Flacons’ players knelt as Moore gained attention.
Moore was brought to a medical facility near Miami Gardens, Florida, for evaluation as the session came to an end.
‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Rondale,’ Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins said following practice.
‘Not sure what’s going on, but I hope it’s not serious.’

‘It’s sad,’ veteran defensive lineman Grady Jarrett explained. “Not much of a heartbreak like it.”
Moore, 24, is in his debut season with Atlanta after spending the previous three with the Arizona Cardinals, where he caught 135 catches for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns.
He was classified as a backup for the first two weeks of training camp.
Moore attended Purdue before being selected in the second round (49th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The 5-foot-7 receiver has made an impact in the league, recording a career-high 503 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in eight games with the Cardinals last season.
In March, the Cardinals traded Moore to the Falcons in exchange for quarterback Desmond Ridder.
The Falcons and Dolphins held two days of joint practices before playing their first preseason game Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium.
