The Green Bay Packers could be heading toward a major shake-up in their secondary, as star cornerback Jaire Alexander is reportedly on the trade block. According to multiple sources, Green Bay is exploring potential deals for the two-time Pro Bowler ahead of the 2025 season, setting the stage for one of the biggest trades in the league.
Alexander, 27, remains one of the NFL’s premier shutdown corners, but injuries and reported frustrations between the player and the organization have led to speculation about his future in Green Bay.

The Packers, who are looking to clear cap space and build for the future, could move Alexander in exchange for premium draft capital or a package of players.
The Steelers have been searching for an elite cornerback to pair with Joey Porter Jr., and Alexander would immediately elevate their secondary. With Pittsburgh’s aggressive defense, adding Alexander could solidify their status as an AFC contender.
A trade within the NFC North might be rare, but the Lions have been aggressive in building their defense. With their high-powered offense already in place, acquiring Alexander could give them the lockdown corner they need to take the next step.

The Ravens value elite defensive backs, and with Marcus Peters long gone, Alexander could fit perfectly in Baltimore’s defensive scheme. He would give them another elite piece in their secondary alongside Kyle Hamilton.
The 49ers are perennial contenders but could use help in their secondary. Adding Alexander to their already dominant defense would make them even more dangerous in a Super Bowl push.
The Jaguars have been improving but still need a true No. 1 corner. Alexander would be an ideal addition to help them compete with the AFC’s top quarterbacks.
As the trade market heats up, all eyes are on Green Bay to see if they’ll move their star corner. If Alexander is dealt, it could shake up the balance of power in the NFL heading into 2025.
