Many top-tier contenders in the league would want to add his skill set and production. Adebayo might be the missing link for some clubs. Even though Winderman presented a solid argument for dealing Adebayo, it’s unclear whether Miami will even examine the possibility. Pat Riley may still regard the 27-year-old center as key to his future plans.
It will be intriguing to observe how the Heat’s offseason progresses. They have remained reasonably quiet, but this may change at any time.
Becky Hammon will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame alongside San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, who she served as an assistant coach under after she retired from playing. Her final WNBA season was in 2014, with the San Antonio Silver Stars. Hammon was an assistant coach with the Spurs for eight seasons until joining the Aces as head coach last year. Becky Hammon led the Aces to the championship in her debut season.
During her playing career, Hammon only played for two teams. She was not picked in the 1999 WNBA Draft and signed with the New York Liberty as an undrafted free agent. She played eight seasons with the Liberty before being traded to the Silver Stars. She played eight more seasons in the league with the Silver Stars before retiring. A six-time All-Star, she has career averages of 13.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals.
