The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation is accepting submissions for the 2024 Charley Pride Fellowship Program.
The club is looking for five college students from various backgrounds to spend the summer working in the front office of the Texas Rangers, World Series champions.
This is the fourth year of the internship program, which is a collaboration between Roland Parrish, his Parrish Charitable Foundation, and the Rangers Foundation.
The show was produced in memory of Charley Pride, the late country music icon. Pride was a personal buddy of the Rangers organization.
The program’s goal is to provide a springboard for students from all backgrounds who want to obtain experience in the Major League Baseball front offices.
“Interns from the Charley Pride Fellowship Program are making an impact in the front offices of professional sports clubs across the United States. “This is a ‘win-win’ for us all,” Parrish stated.
The Rangers Foundation will hire, train, and support the five fellows as they rotate through three front-office areas chosen based on their interests. During this compensated 10-week internship program, these students will learn vital skills that will help them in their future jobs in sports or other industries.
Texas Rangers Winter Caravan visits Mansfield and North Richland Hills on Sunday.
The World Series champion Texas Rangers’ 2024 Kroger Winter Caravan, presented by Coca-Cola, will make stops in Mansfield and North Richland Hills on Sunday.
First baseman Nathaniel Lowe, right-handed pitchers Dane Dunning and Grant Anderson, and left-handed pitcher Jake Latz are all set to make Caravan visits.
The simultaneous stops will take held at local Kroger stores, with autograph sessions from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Dunning and Latz will sign at the Mansfield Kroger (3300 E. Broad Street, Mansfield, TX 76063), next to the Commissioner’s Trophy, while Lowe and Anderson will sign at the North Richland Hills Kroger (9150 N. Tarrant Parkway, North Richland Hills, TX 76182), where they will have photo opportunities with Rangers mascot Captain.
